Vyces Interview - Devils n' Angels

If we're coming to your city, come say hi, we wanna meet you! –Shawn Patterson, Guitarist

Tour Press Force (TPF) met up with the Los Angeles based Hard Rock, Metal band Vyces right after their set rocking the pool party during Rock Into Spring fest at M Resort Spa and Casino in Las Vegas on April 29, 2017.

Vyces features former members of Breaking Benjamin, bassist, Mark James Klepaski, Heart-Set Self Destruct, frontman and guitarist, Dave Naruszewicz, Old Fashioned Beatdown, drummer, Russell Ray and guitarist, Shawn Patterson, and Thrown Into Exile and Grimace, vocalist and keyboardist, Evan Seidlitz.

The band has been compared to such artists as Chevelle, Killswitch Engage and Breaking Benjamin, sonically creating a dark blend of active rock and metal. Frontman Naruszewicz describes the soul of the songs as “exploring the darker side of human emotion and behavior. It's something everyone can relate to because everyone has experienced some form of hurt, betrayal, weakness, hate, addiction and/or lack of acceptance. It’s also the fuel that drives us to be stronger, get better and overcome the flaws we've built in our minds."

Vyces Interview at Rock Into Spring | 4.29.17

Vyces released their EP, Devils on October 20, 2016. The single “I Will Find You” is featured in the interview. Here's what Cryptic Rock had to say about the tune:

“I Will Find You” is up next with a dangerous sensation, and one could imagine the scene of a dark, seedy bar as the setting, initially. The sinister thrill of stalking prey is expressed in the track. It is matched with a catchy chorus that throws a hint of lighter notes, and a piano adds to the effect, just barely caught behind the crashing drums and guitars.

The band will be releasing the single “Nocturnal” from their next EP, Angels on June 6, 2017. “Nocturnal” music video teaser, directed by Ron Underwood, featuring Carla Harvey of Butcher Babies, is also featured in the interview. Shout out to Carlos Pagan who shot the cover photo with the team over at Tiger Lab Productions. “Nocturnal” music video will be officially released June 20, 2017.
