RIVALS: Who They Really Are

RIVALS. A band of our generation. A band that is not willing to give up. Words such as these only scratch the surface when describing this band. Interviewing RIVALS was an experience unlike any other. For the first time ever, the interviewer became the interviewee. Interviewing RIVALS was the most enjoyable interview experience I have ever had. They are some of the most kind, funny, and down to Earth individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting. As soon as they arrived for the interview, I was quickly greeted with hugs and instantly felt accepted. Although their album speaks volumes about their values, meeting and talking with everyone in the band was an entirely new experience. I cannot even begin to describe the positivity that radiates throughout each and every member and the passion they each delivered.

What truly sets RIVALS apart is their dedication to their craft. They are one of the hardest working bands in the scene. You see the decline with many bands due to the differences in morality and goal sets. However, with RIVALS, not only are they band mates, they are the definition of a family. Every band will go through rough patches; but their ability to stick it out and prosper through those patches is what truly defines a band. RIVALS has shown exponential growth since the release of their first EP, and that growth is because of their ability to trust in one another and keep that focus on their goals as a band.

An important attribute that RIVALS seems to harbor naturally is their ability to make anyone feel accepted with a sense of belonging. Many bands put on great shows, but not every band has the ability to connect with their fans on a personal level, whether it's through social media, meet and greets, or in my case, an interview, the way RIVALS does. RIVALS has proven they are a force to be reckoned with, while still staying humble. Damned Soul is definitely a major milestone in the band's history. The future holds incredible opportunities for this band and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

Stay tuned interview coming soon!
